Why Vote Republican?

  • Conservative governance since George Bush has made the Texas economy the success it is today.
  • Tort reform has brought over 7,000 new doctors to the state, and our attractive business climate created over 250,000 jobs in the past year.
  • Republican values and Republican leadership guided Texas to become the 12th largest economy in the world, and we can trust them to continue leading us to prosperity.

It's Your Money

  • Taxpayers have the absolute right to know how their money is being spent, and it is only with transparency that government can be held truly accountable.
  • On my fourth day on the job as comptroller, I posted all of our expenditures online, and the program has now spread to other departments.
  • Transparency leads to not only accountability, but your dollars are spent more wisely.

Economic Snap-Shot

  • Responsible government has kept Texas from running a deficit, helping our economy become one of the best in the nation.
  • Texas' pro-commerce tax policy and business climate means that companies are fleeing California to live and work in Texas.
  • The Texas economy is not likely to follow the country into recession, in part because our housing market is not in crisis and consumer confidence remains high in Texas.
