Joe and I are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Ambassador Anne Armstrong. We have known and loved Anne as a friend and a mentor. Our ranching families have been close for over 50 years. Her grace, wit, intelligence all shone so brightly on the Texas, national and international landscape. She will be deeply missed for her wonderful gifts and extraordinary insights. She was a ranch woman, hostess, political thinker, and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
