I can't thank you enough for the friendship and support you've shown me through the years. When I travel across Texas, it's always great to see a friendly face and to know that you're available for advice and counsel. I know that I couldn't do it without you.

In 1992 I walked door to door for my legislative seat in Austin. I ended up wining the election by 2 votes and that experience absolutely convinced me that the efforts of grassroots volunteers are the single most effective political strategy that can be employed in a campaign.

That is why I am asking you today to be part of my team.
