Susan Combs is a strong conservative leader in the same tradition as those brave men and women, who fought for our freedoms and built our state into the legend it is today. She has long stood strong for private property rights and it was her bill in 1995 that inspired other states across the country to follow our lead.

This morning the Comptroller’s office will unveil an innovative website that offers the public the results of the Financial Allocation Study for Texas (FAST) in a searchable database format. The FAST study will identify school districts and campuses that combine high academic achievement and cost-effective operations.

Dear Fellow Texans:

When I wrote you a year ago about the changes undergone by our country, I could not have imagined what has happened since. The new administration has in fact passed sweeping health care legislation which we believe is going to impose enormous new costs on consumers and taxpayers alike. What is perhaps most shocking is that of the 80 provisions in the bill that are significant, 50 of them could not have their fiscal impact calculated. Those costs are yet to be revealed. The ever tightening grip of the federal government on state budgets is causing citizens across the nation to question the direction of the country.

State Comptroller Susan Combs has been doing an exceptional job in establishing and overseeing the Victory Texas 2010 (http://www.victorytexas.org/) on behalf of the Republican Party of Texas. The Comptroller has hired an excellent staff, headed by Victory Executive Director Jarod Love, and is already well into its planning stages for a victorious November effort. Jarod Love recently outlined the Victory program at the County Chairman and SREC Leadership Conference on Saturday, July 17. He unveiled an exciting home calling, phone banking and block walking program. His staff has been exceptionally cooperative in working with RPT staff to make this effort a success.
